Wi5 are a luxury consumer electronics online retailer who specialises in home entertainment, photographic, sound systems, electronic innovations and gifts for kids. They have a carefully selected consumer electronics range, designed to inspire and enhance any living or office space, and accompany their customers personal lifestyle.

Quelles sont les instructions?

The objective was to develop a bespoke corporate ecommerce solution to enable them to sell their range of innovative electrical products and convey a high end look and feel. Although they started out as a high street store, they found that to generate further sales then they needed to focus more attention on the online market. The ecommerce website solution needed to display a wide variety of products with a large description section to describe the product in full. The design had to reflect the 30-50 year old target market, who they were originally targeting on the high street.

With the focus of the design target market, we looked for images that reflect contemporary design for modern living. The products themselves are top of the range, stylish electronics so we decided to go with a spacious design that allows the products enough space to show off their own design elements. Categorising the products into 6 departments makes the site more user friendly and easier to find what they are looking for.

The ecommerce solution included Secure Trading to accept the online payments whilst also having the Able2Buy (CreditEnabler.com) facility to allow high value purchases to be made via online finance. The simple to use payment gateway makes purchasing easy and the gift wrap facility brings an extra touch to the user experience.

Even though the deadlines were tight due to another web development company letting them down, we were able to complete the ecommerce site on time and on budget. The look and feel of the ecommerce solution was spot on the brief that they set us and they were extremely pleased with the results. The ecommerce solution has brought a large amount of business to the company and exposed thousands more to their brand identity.
