Qui est le client?

Barefaced Beauty are an award winning brand of pure mineral cosmetics, their makeup products are comprised of naturally occurring minerals making them 100% chemical free and 100% parabel free.

When Barefaced Beauty originally came to Advansys in 2007 the spec was to create a new online corporate identity and build an ecommerce web site with Single Page Check Out. 2 years later, they came back to us with a requirement to update the design of the website to be more modern, attractive and with a web 2.0 look.

We first had to redesign the Barefaced Beauty logo to incorporate the colours on her existing website which were to be maintained within the website redesign. The client already had a very good idea of the type of look that she was after and with a clear target market in mind it was straight forward for us to come up with an inspiring professional design in keeping with the freshness and colours of her original design that ultimately fits well with her product range.

We then designed the homepage, and with very few changes, came up with this fresh new feel; as pure as the products. The subpage designs were completed with drop menu's and pop-op boxes before everything was hooked up, and the flash was subsequently added to the homepage. The large images in the flash on the homepage stand out to online consumers instiling confidence to buy. In addition, the client has the ability to update the images and text themselves through the CMS with the flash banner module saving valualbe time and money.

Along with the design changes we made some well thought out enhancements to the functionality of the ecommerce platform enabling the client to offer online gift vouchers as well as promocodes.

When the ecommerce website changes went live the client added her new products which are packaged in jars branded with her new logo to complete the professional identity.

The overall web design is clean and simple and the added ecommerce functionality has made it easier for the consumer to buy allowing Barfaced Beauty to stay ahead of the competition in a very competive online market.
