Rax2Go are an online supplier of material handling products and other industrial related products online to some of the largest engineering and offshore companies, universities, schools, hospitals, nursing homes, government departments and local authorities in the UK.

The brief for Rax2Go was to create a website design and build a large ecommerce website that displays the material handling products that they have on offer. The site would need to be easily updated and, with other ecommerce website projects in the future, a CMS which can control a variety of sites (a white label web solution). As this is a brand new company, the website would be starting from scratch, which meant creating a corporate identity and finding the right tone of voice through colours and imagery.

In order to meet the requirements of the client, we proposed a skinnable solution as they wanted us to create other websites in the future that would all be centrally controlled and edited in the one content management system. This meant that all of the ecommerce websites would be easy to update and they would only have to go to the one CMS to make all of the changes. Each product has a clear product description and specification along with an enlarged image and quantity amount.

A rolling news section keeps users updated on recent developments in the company and the industry as well as an email newsletter sign up function for any future marketing campaigns. A 'Featured Product' section was also added to the right hand side of the website design to draw the users to specific products that the client would like to highlight more.

The modern and contemporary website design gave the site a workman like quality, which is perfect for the target market of building professionals. We created a logo based on the yellow and black style to give the company a distinct corporate identity that could be used across their future marketing material.

The site is integrated with our own Advansys ePayments payment gateway that makes it simple to use and is an inline solution, which means the user never has to leave the site when it comes to the payment process. The quality of the build of the ecommerce website also meant that the site is very SEO friendly, which means that search engines can crawl through the site easily.

The result is a professional looking website design with a strong corporate identity and a content management solution that is capable of growing with the business as well as any other business they wish to create. This extremely flexible solution has been a success with another 3 other websites now running from the single CMS.
